President Bush contradicted himself–in practically the same SENTENCE–today on the economy. “Despite the turmoil in the markets, the economy’s basically sound” was the gist of his message.
Apparently, the fact that we live in a MARKET-driven ECONOMY hasn’t set off his little ding-a-ling…but then, he’s a lost cause as well as a lame duck.
